Covid-19 Update

We Remain Open During this Unprecedented Crisis

How can you help? We understand that you and your family have likely been impacted by this crisis, but every little bit helps. Please consider donating online.

We care for some of Jacksonville’s most vulnerable citizens, therefore we cannot close during this crisis. While providing emergency services like housing, healthcare and meals, Sulzbacher is working to keep its staff, residents and patients safe and healthy. We are implementing crisis protocols including altering our staffing levels, screening all patients who come to our Health Centers, stringent and frequent cleaning of all locations, and social distancing protocols. Here is some important information that we want our partners to know.

WE HAVE AN IMMEDIATE NEED FOR BANDANA FACE COVERS. Staff continues to provide medical screenings to all residents and visitors on a daily basis and we are quickly reaching the last of our personal protective equipment inventory. If you are interested in assembling bandana face coverings we are asking for 20 x 20 bandanas. Directions are very simple, cut out a 20 x 20 square and put a small hem around the square so that the cloth does not fray. To donate, please call Emily at (904) 662-2352 or take bandanas to our Downtown campus at 611 East Adams St. or Sulzbacher Village at 5455 Springfield Blvd. from 9am-5pm on weekdays.

All group volunteer activities have been cancelled until further notice.

We do need your donations, but please do not drop donations off without making prior arrangements.  Our dedicated and committed staff are still on the front lines helping, and there are some CRITICAL ITEMS WE NEED but do not have.

  • Gloves
  • Masks (Surgical or N95)
  • AA batteries
  • Thermometers
  • Thermometer covers
  • Large event tents
  • Colored stickers or labels
  • Plexiglas to create personal shields
  • Picnic tables

If you or your business has access to any of these items and are able to donate, please call Emily at 904-662-2352.

You can sew masks for us using the directions below, or by watching this VIDEO.  Then you can drop them off at either of our campuses at the front entrance to the medical staff stationed at the front to screen people.

Thank you!
